Since the assembly line was perfected by Henry Ford it made production of his model T very easy. Since production was so easy it helped the prices stay relatively cheap. The Model T changed every day lives. Since the car was so affordable almost everyone had one. Soon streets were full of model T's. Kids no longer moved out of the street for horses and carriages they had to move to the sound of a horn. Henry Ford would pay his workers $5 a day, which was pretty good at the time, so they would have more money to buy his cars.
Since cars became more popular, rules needed to be made to keep them driving in an orderly fashion. They used policemen to direct traffic, but they had to be paid and they had to stand in the road. With the new street light, no one had to be paid and it moved traffic smoother and easier. Fun Fact - Traffic lights were first installed in 1868 in London, England
The typewriter really changed everyday, and business writing. There was finally a machine able to write clearly. No more guessing what people wrote, just a clear copy. It made journalist jobs easier and more efficient. It was just a great machine to write with in general. The typewriter was a great machine before the computer. Also with some training, blind people could now write legibly.
The sewing machine also had a great impact on history. The sewing machine changed textile factories forever. Before the sewing machine people, mainly women, had to sew everything by hand. This was slower and less efficient. Now factories could have more people running the sewing machine and more material being sewed.
